Specialization: Dr. Volchenkov specializes in the field of data analysis, stochastic non-linear dynamics, complexity and uncertainty in real-world systems. His research agenda ranges from plasma turbulence and tsunami waves to the distribution of urban poverty, human behavior and communication patterns, models of political and biological evolution, and decision-making under uncertainty.
