Specialization: Professor Dawson specializes in the digital disruption of social processes, with recent focus on microtargeting enabled manipulation of individual’s choices.
Her research centers on the use of narratives around military service; for example, narratives of soldiers’ sacrifice for the nation, to influence and change views of patriotism and freedom since the Vietnam War.
